Our range of clients includes employee and Investors, sole traders, company, trust, and partnership who are utilising our services for end of year accounting and tax returns. At Desire Accounting, we aim to help you with your financial business needs and meet your ATO compliance requirements at an affordable cost.
After years of public practice accounting and working with small business operators, Pankaj Ghimire (Patrick) established Desire Accounting Associates in 2017.
Desire Accounting Associates aims is to look after the financial needs of small business operators and provide accounting services to ensure ATO compliance is completed to standard and on time. Operating from home office we have kept our operating expenses minimal and are able to offer affordable service fees.

I started my professional career in 2005 as a Finance Officer. I have both Australian and Overseas experience working as Financial Controller. During 2012, I realised that my true passion is in accounting and taxation. So, I changed my career path and started working as an Accountant in a Gladstone based public practice firm. I hold accounting degree from Central Queensland University with overall GPA 6.1 out of 7. I am a:
- Member of Institute of Public Accountant (IPA)
- Tax Practitioner’s Board (TPB) Registered Tax Agent.
- Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) Agent.
I am a Xero certified Advisor and expert in other accounting software like MYOB, Quickbooks, Handisoft, and Tax Cat just to name a few. When I am not being an Accountant and I manage to get away from the office I love to play with my little kids and take them to the park. I do enjoy listening to eastern classical music and swimming.
Praticha Pokharel
Business Development Advisor
I am married to Pankaj and mother of one boy and one girl. I am registered nurse (RN) by profession and working in Aged Care Sector. I do have some business qualifications too and I am utilising it to help growing our Accounting Business. I put some long hours during busy tax time looking after the administrative duties and focus on business development during the normal period. Long story short, Pankaj lead the business and I lead him. On the other hand, I run one small handcraft business “DIYALO” because I love being creative. When I manage to get away from all these, I love painting and dancing together with my kids.
